Next Wave Art celebrates its 15th season by turning over a variety of BAM spaces to site-specific installations and exhibitions. The walls and arches of the Dorothy W. Levitt Lobby of the Peter Jay Sharp Building are transformed by works from New York-based artists Esther Ruiz and Lauren Clay. Additionally, New Photography—a group exhibition split across the Natman Room and Diker Gallery Café—explores the many lenses through which contemporary artists approach photography.

This season also welcomes the transformation of the BAM Fisher Lower Lobby into a reading room hosted by Wendy’s Subway, a nonprofit library based in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The space will feature curated publications and periodicals, and host informal public talks, workshops, and readings throughout the Next Wave Festival.
